报告摘要:In this talk, we shall first design a novel implicit-explicit scheme for the incompressible ideal MHD system, which simultaneously conserves the invariants including energy, magnetic Gauss's law, magnetic helicity, and cross helicity. Regarding the energy conservation as one globally physical constraint and introducing two auxiliary variables for magnetic and cross helicities, we establish an algorithm-friendly reformulation of the system by skillfully combining the Lagrange multiplier approach and auxiliary variable technique. When solving the algorithm- friendly reformulation, we apply the Legendre-Galerkin spectral method and Crank- Nicolson method for discretizing the spatial and temporal components, respectively. Then, we construct an efficient numerical scheme for three-dimensional incompressible heat-conducting MHD system to simultaneously preserve several intrinsic multiphysics structures, namely, the mass conservation, the density conservation in L^2-norm, the kinetic-energy dissipation, and the heat-energy conservation.
报告人简介: 郭士民,西安交通大学教授、博士生导师,主要研究方向为计算等离子体物理、高精度数值算法;在SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing、Journal of Computational Physics等期刊上发表多篇学术论文;主持国家级青年人才项目、国家自然科学基金面上项目、国家重点研发计划子课题、陕西省杰出青年基金等多项科研项目;荣获陕西省自然科学奖二等奖、陕西省优秀博士学位论文奖等奖励。
